Help your kid take their writing to the next level.

This all-new program grants your young writer access to their very own Writing Coach, The Writer’s Box full curriculum, and a handpicked writer’s group.

Together, they’ll meet online to explore new ideas, build writing skills, and cheer each other on as they craft new stories!

Write On! Superstars is the perfect way to help your child find an audience for their next big writing project or even inspire them to get creative with writing for the first time.

MEET YOUR COACHES

Brett Jenkins

Brett is a full-time professional tutor with over four years of experience. He works with students of all ages, with an emphasis on writing and language arts education.

Brett first joined Write On! Workshops as an in-person writing coach for our summer camps in 2014. He continued to volunteer with us throughout high school and even into college before starting his own tutoring practice. He currently runs our Write On! Teen Edition summer camp.

Brett received his bachelor’s degree from Alma College in 2022. There, he served as a mentor for the highest awarded Model United Nations team in the country, teaching younger students public speaking, research and writing skills. In 2019 and 2020, he was awarded the Posey Global Leadership Scholarship to teach students internationally in India.

He currently lives in San Francisco, where he spends his week meeting with students, composing music, cooking for his friends, and working on his own creative writing projects. His favorite genres to write are fantasy and poetry.

Lauren Finlinson

Lauren has been a professional copywriter for over seven years and a creative writer since she was six years old. She believes nothing is more exciting than helping a person discover their own specific voice.

Lauren first joined Write On! Workshops as a young summer camper in 2007. She served as a writing coach for younger students all through high school and continued to work with us as our summer camp administrator throughout college. She is one of the co-creators of The Writer’s Box.

Lauren received her bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in 2020, where she worked as a writing editor for students. Her major focused on writing for advertising, with minors in creative writing and editing. She is the recipient of the One Show of Creativity’s Gold Cube for Craft in Writing, as well as a Gold Telly Award for branded written content.

Her own writer’s group has been hugely instrumental in her life, offering her feedback and support as she writes everything from poetry anthologies to screenplays. She is beyond excited to help young writers find the same connection with their own groups.
