Emily has extensive practical experience in the classroom including international experience at the American International School in Israel. She participated in The Teachers’ College Reading and Writing Project, Columbia University and prepared students for national writing exams.
Emily received a B.S. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the State University of New York and obtained an M.S. in Education from Bank Street College of Education. She teaches 1st grade at The McGillis School and has recent experience studying writing at the Teacher’s College of Reading and Writing with Lucy Calkins.
Carrie received her B.A. in English from Brigham Young University and was recognized as teacher of the year at Millcreek Junior High School. She participated in the Utah Writing Project while studying for her Master’s in Secondary and Gifted and Talented Education at Utah State University.
Carrie worked as an adjunct professor for the elementary education department at Utah State University and as a summer writing instructor for the Youth Academy of Excellence at the University of Utah. She currently teaches English at Carden Memorial School.
